Lynn’s Introduction: TAC

Permalink for this paragraph 0 I found the introduction to be rather beneficial. He dives into the fact that reading and writing literature is much like taking pictures. Each has its own interpretation meant for the good of people who study it. Lynn seems to ascertain that no literary criticism is better than the other, however, some points are argued better than others. I agree with Lynn. He talks about critical theory when comparing it to that of a picture of Fidel Caestro and Ernest Hemingway saying, “our understanding of a text is shaped by the context in which we see it.” (9) I found his introduction particularly insightful.
